Author Biography

Shirley S. Archer is a health and wellness educator, award-winning author, and fitness expert based at Stanford University School of Medicine in Polo Alto, California. She is the author of The Everything Weight Training Book and The Pilates Deck, and coauthor of YMCA Water Fitness for Health. Her work has been featured in Shape, Health, Oxygen, Muscle Fitness Hers, American Fitness, and numerous other media outlets. She lives in Palo Alto, CA. David Edelberg, MD is associate professor of internal medicine and holistic and integrative medicine at Rush Medical College. He earned his MD degree at the University of Illinois, and had residencies at the Vanderbilt University Hospital and Northwestern University Hospital. He is the president of the American Institute of Holistic Medicine, and has served as both author and medical editor in numerous health magazines and AMA publications. He lives in Chicago, IL.
