Cosima von Bonin works with sculpture, installation, film, painting and social relationships. The reoccurring motif in her work is the material and dimensional transformation of objects, which releases them from their everyday context, opening up completely new perceptional processes and references. This publication presents not only the new and well-known series of works shown in the exhibition, but is the most complete review of Cosima von Bonin's work to date, with comments and illustrations of each of the pieces. Yilmaz Dziewior's text provides an overview to the body of work, while John Welchman places it within an art historical context and Mark von Schlegell's fictional text takes an associative look at aspects of the work.
