Summary

Mit den Veränderungen in den Staaten des ehemaligen Ostblocks und den im Gefolge des Zusammenbruchs neu aufbrechenden Nationalitätengegensätzen hat das Problem des Minderheitenschutzes besondere Aktualität erlangt. Das Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches öffentliches Recht und Völkerrecht hat daher 1991 eine Projektgruppe ins Leben gerufen, die Entwicklungsstand und Probleme des Schutzes ethnischer Minderheiten in Europa aufgearbeitet hat. Nachdem Teil 1 mit Landesberichten zu westeuropäischen Staaten 1993 erschien, enthält nun Teil 2 umfassende Darstellungen des Rechts der Minderheiten in Bulgarien, Estland, Griechenland, Kroatien, Lettland, Litauen, Rumänien, Rußland, Serbien, Slowenien und Ukraine. Diese werden ergänzt durch vergleichende Sachberichte zu den wichtigsten Aspekten des Minderheitenschutzes.
