Randy Wayne White is the author of The Heat Islands, Sanibel Flats, The Man Who Invented Florida, and Captiva, and his columns for Outside magazine have been collected in Batfishing in the Rainforest. A veteran fishing guide, he lives in Fort Myers, Florida.
