Summary

With STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT COMMUNICATION, Robyn Walker, University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, strives to achieve a condensed version of the typical business communication book with higher-quality information. The author didn't pull from conventional business communication books, but instead built a new book from the ground up. It covers the same topical areas and the approach is integrated with all of the business communication areas, streamlined, and information presented in a coherent way. The approach and coverage is developed from rubric and then the chapters grew out of that rubric based on rhetorical theory. Walker has also taught interpersonal, presentation and small group courses and has incorporated these topics into her rhetorical approach.
