Author Biography

A native of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Robert Hartman grew up playing junior golf at Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus-designed Wabeek Country club. He graduated from Hillsdale College in 1985 with a B.A. in English and received his Masters degree from Hollins University in 1999. After serving as captain of the Hillsdale College Charger golf team, he turned his attention to writing about the sport. From the sports editor of Michigan's oldest college newspaper, The Collegian, he became the sports information director at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia
