Author Biography

Jon J Muth's fine artwork is the subject of two books: Koan and Vanitas: Paintings, Drawings, and Ideas. He has written and illustrated award-winning comic books that have been published in both the United States and Japan. His previous picture books have been highly acclaimed. Come On, Rain! by Karen Hesse received three starred reviews and a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators. Gershon's Monster by Eric Kimmel, which also received three starred reviews, was an ALA Notable Children's Book, winner of the Sydney Taylor Award, and a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award.
