Author Biography

Norm Lieberman has been working as a process engineer for 45 years. He began his career with Amoco Oil in Whiting. Indiana and Texas City, Texas and subsequently worked as the technical and refinery manager for the Good Hope Refinery in Louisiana. Since 1983, he has been a process consultant. More than 16,000 engineers and operators have attended the troubleshooting seminars he has conducted for 27 years. Norm Lieberman graduated with a degree in chemical engineering in 1964 from Cooper Union. His career has been devoted to revamping existing refinery process units and in troubleshooting distillation units. The first edition of Troubleshooting Process Operations was published in 1980. Lieberman also has authored A Working Guide to Process Equipment, Troubleshooting Natural Gas Processing, Process Design for Reliable Operations, Troubleshooting Process Plant Control, and Process Engineering for a Small Planet.
